Welcome to the web site of the Great Falls Fire Fighters Local No. 8. This fire fighter union is made up of 60 members that service the City of Great Falls, Montana.
Upcoming Events
The next Union Meeting will be held on September 3rd at 7:30 pm at Fire Station 1.
The MDA Boot Drive will be on Saturday August 22nd. We will be manning two intersections again this year. Hope to see you there.
The MDA Lock-Up is scheduled for September 17th. We will be looking for drivers for the event. If you are able to help out, contact Jason Baker.

If you missed the last Union meeting and would like to know what is happening, please see your shift steward. They all should have copies of the minutes or be able to get a hold of them.
If you are interested on serving on the Negotiations Team, please submit your name to Jerry Pospisil.
On August 18th, the City Commission will present a proclamation declaring August 22nd MDA/Fire Fighter appreciation day. Everyone is encouraged to attend the meeting for the presentation.

Weingarten Rule
An employee may be represented by the union at an investigatory interview with his or her supervisor when the employee reasonably believes that the interview may lead to a disciplinary action.
"If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, or affect my personal working conditions, I respectfully request that my union representative, officer, or steward be present at this meeting."
